Advancing in age happens because of physiological changes. It happens naturally to humans, and a vital step like other steps in life. Elderly people face a variety of needs and challenges that can be helped by the use of technology and assistive technologies to solve it and enables independence living and be active with the community.

Introducing Qmunity Kenz, Qatar’s first community Time Bank!

Established by the community for the Qmunity and launching this week – our Time bank enables people to ‘deposit’ their time by giving practical help and supporting to others, and they are able to ‘withdraw’ their time when they need something done themselves, or they can contribute their time credits towards a community cause.

Timebanking works for everyone – individuals, organisations and society as a whole. People arrange to give time when it suits them, offering skills they enjoy using.

When some people think of Down Syndrome, they only think of the condition and not the person living with it. This photography exhibition attempts to change that perspective, as “Anfal and Nawaf” live a life like any other children, a happy and full life, where they go to school, pursue hobbies and enjoy a social life.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to get a glimpse of their lives.
